Rendlesham Forest UFO incident — Col Halt meets the skeptics
On a chilly day in 2009 February, Col Charles Halt (centre) met up in Rendlesham Forest with local forester Vince Thurkettle (left), who originally proposed the Orford Ness lighthouse as the source of the flashing UFO seen between the trees by Halt and his men,
and Ian Ridpath, the author who made the first critical investigation of the
Rendlesham Forest UFO case. Their visit was for the filming of a German TV
programme about the event and its subsequent explanation. This is almost
certainly the first time Col Halt had been outnumbered two to one by skeptics.
