2000 Einstein (Éire)
Albert Einstein, seen here with his famous equation, was included in a set of
six stamps celebrating Discoveries issued by Eire at the start of the new
millennium. Also featured in the set were the Birr Telescope and Galileo (below).

2000 Galileo (Éire)
Galileo appeared on one of a set of six stamps on the theme of Discoveries
released to celebrate the new millennium. All stamps in the set had the same
face value of 30p. The other subjects were: Nicholas Callan (an Irish
electrical scientist); the Birr Telescope; Thomas Edison; Albert Einstein (above); and Marie Curie.
