Italy 1945 – Galileo (pneumatic post)
A modified version of the pneumatic post
stamp issued by Italy in 1933. Apart from a change in face value and colour,
the most noticeable difference is that this stamp is inscribed
simply “Italia” instead of “Regno
d’Italia”. Closer comparison shows that the border
is also different from the 1933 stamp, as is the Italian coat
of arms behind the inscription.
