Vietnam 1966
Luna 9
An attractive pair of stamps commemorating the flight and landing of Luna 9 from Vietnam, issued at a time when it was divided into two: a communist north and non-communist South. In the first of the pair, Luna 9 is seen on its way to the Moon, apparently performing a mid-course correction with its rockets. On the second, Luna 9 is seen symbolically resting on the lunar surface.
