A souvenir sheet issued 25 years after Luna 3 first photographed the Moon’s far side. The stamp features the photographic map of the far side made by Luna 3. Next to it are three sketches labelled Luna 1, Luna 2 and Luna 3.

1989 Hungary 20ft stamp sheet Apollo 11 anniversary

1989 Hungary 20 ft 

A mini sheet commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. The stamp depicts an astronaut’s bootprint (actually that of Buzz Aldrin) and the American flag, while on the surrounding sheet Aldrin is seen saluting the flag.

A stamp and mini sheet issued for the 20th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing. The design shows the famous image of Buzz Aldrin on the lunar surface, with the Lunar Module and Earth in the background.

This stamp, showing two astronauts planting the American flag on the Moon, commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. It was issued on 1989 July 20, twenty years to the day after the Eagle landed.
